Homeseeker strengthens customer-focus with new management appointment

Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes has appointed a new National Sales Manager to reinforce its commitment to an energised, customer focused strategy and to help drive sales of its new product range.

Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes (HP&LH), the leading park home and leisure lodge supplier and part of the Shepherd Group, has announced the appointment of Steve Taylor to the position of National Sales Manager. Steve assumed the role on 1 January after two years at the Rushden-based company as Area Sales Manager for the south of England.

In his previous role, Steve gained valuable hands-on experience with park owners, both private and corporate, across the south east, south central and south west of the country. He worked alongside three other Area Sales Managers covering the rest of the UK making regular park visits, gaining new business and managing existing key customer accounts.

Steve's promotion is a continuation of the company's commitment to its customer-focused strategy and comes at a time when HP&LH are developing and launching a completely new product range that is more closely aligned with customer demands.

Steve commented: "It is important to us that all management roles are based on real-life experience, talking to customers and gaining a solid understanding of their requirements. My new role will still allow me valuable customer contact, but I will now be in a position to help motivate, manage and steer the sales operation in line with our commitment to delivering the highest quality service."

Steve added that his main responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth and successful management of the sales operation by motivating and supporting both the sales and commercial teams at the company's Rushden Sales Centre.

As National Sales Manager, Steve will also act as liaison between customer requirements and the design and manufacturing team at Rushden - ensuring that valuable customer feedback is translated in products that satisfy and delight.

"My vision for Homeseeker is to help the company grow from strength to strength," Steve said. "I believe we are already the best in the industry with the best product in the marketplace, an unrivalled after-sales department and by far the best factory facilities and craftsmen in the UK."

Steve steps into the shoes of Peter Berwick, who was the previous National Sales Manager and who assumed the role of Managing Director last December. Steve has had a long and rewarding history working with Peter and will continue their successful relationship in their respective new roles.

Energy-saving park options

With a Homeseeker park home you can benefit from a range of further optional money and energy-saving features offered by some parks that will not only help save the environment but also the money in your pocket! These features include:

Rainwater harvesting

A water-butt system that collects rainwater from your roof for 101 uses such as watering the garden, washing your windows and car or giving your dog a drink.

Grey water system

A plumbed-in systems that recycles water from your shower and hand basins for use by your toilet flush system.

Ground source heating

In the right location this eco-friendly system utilises renewable energy stored in the ground to provide one of the most energy-efficient ways of heating your Homeseeker park home. The only energy used by ground source heating systems is electricity to power the pumps which nevertheless deliver three or four times more thermal energy (heat) than is used in electrical energy to drive the system.
