Held in Mayflower Park in Southampton and set against the splendour of one of Europe’s largest purpose-built marinas, the Boat Show attracted more than 100,000 visitors over the ten day period.
Chris Mayhew, Managing Director of FLH, said the Boat Show is an important event for Finnish Log Homes: "We have been exhibiting at the Boat Show for six years and once again we were extremely delighted with the turn-out this year."
Displayed adjacent to the main marina, the Homeseeker-built Contemporary wowed Boat Show audiences with its clean lines and modern style. Apart from being constructed from natural Scandinavian logs sourced from sustainable forests, the central features of this memorable design are the expansive panes of glass. This creates a light, bright interior and enables stunning views of the surrounded landscape from all of the rooms.
Chris Mayhew continued: "The Contemporary is a very eye-catching home and visitors were very complimentary about its style and layout. The Boat Show has generated a high level of interest with 21 private orders and a sale to a park home."
The collaboration with Homeseeker means FLH will benefit from the massive manufacturing capacity offered by Homeseeker’s world class Rushden manufacturing capability while, in return, Homeseeker gains increased production volume and greater market penetration.
"With the huge level of interest generated at the Boat Show for the Contemporary, we are expecting volume orders for parks, lake properties and hotel locations," Chris added. "We have requests to design and quote for the education sector as well as enquiries for our larger log buildings and two storey versions of the Contemporary."
Todd Misselbrook, Homeseeker Area Sales Manager, was at the show and concluded: "The Finnish Contemporary built at our Rushden facility represents the very best in Homeseeker build quality and Finnish style. We are pleased to support Finnish Log Homes in their construction programme and look forward to a long and rewarding relationship."
Since1987, Homeseeker has been manufacturing luxurious, well-built park homes that meet the highest expectations of residential and leisure park customers. The company has recently rebranded itself as Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes to introduce its world-beating range into the leisure market. All models are available with the company’s Signature specification which offers a selection of professionally-designed interiors and layouts together with a generous choice of features and fittings from top name suppliers as standard.
Furthermore, as one of the original committee members instrumental in establishing the BS3632 standard for the manufacture of residential homes, Homeseeker has been setting the standard in park and leisure homes ever since. Every Homeseeker residential and leisure home is built at the company’s own world-class production facilities in Rushden, Northants, to conform to these stringent industry standards.

With a Homeseeker park home you can benefit from a range of further optional money and energy-saving features offered by some parks that will not only help save the environment but also the money in your pocket! These features include:
A water-butt system that collects rainwater from your roof for 101 uses such as watering the garden, washing your windows and car or giving your dog a drink.
A plumbed-in systems that recycles water from your shower and hand basins for use by your toilet flush system.
In the right location this eco-friendly system utilises renewable energy stored in the ground to provide one of the most energy-efficient ways of heating your Homeseeker park home. The only energy used by ground source heating systems is electricity to power the pumps which nevertheless deliver three or four times more thermal energy (heat) than is used in electrical energy to drive the system.
